NORTON- Levi James Johnson, at the age of 18, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 25th, 2024 after a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer. He fought courageously and was surrendered to and at peace with the will of his Father, even until the end.
He was born on July 11th, 2005 in Barberton, Ohio and was a life-long resident of Norton. Levi was homeschooled by his mom through third grade and has since been a student at Hametown Christian Academy, where he was a senior. He attended Grace Church in Norton his entire life and chose to be baptized there in February. During his junior and senior year, he enjoyed his Building Trade program. He looked forward to trade week as he was quickly gaining confidence in his skills. His favorite things to do were playing Xbox and watching movies with his big brother, nephews, and his friends. Levi loved swimming; whether it was while camping or going to the beach with his family, he couldn’t be kept out of the water. His dog, Abby Rose, and his cats, Gato and Brother, held a special place in his heart.
Levi is survived by his parents, Bruce and Carla Johnson of Norton; brother, Luke (Hailey) Johnson of Norton; sisters, Jessica (Darrin) Gore of Navarre and Jamie (James) Budd of Uniontown; nephews, Gavin and Wyatt Reese; niece, Nora Budd; grandmothers, Kay Grubb and Joyce Barnes, both of Norton; aunt, Judy (Brian) Grubb; uncle, Brian (Chris) Barnes; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at 4 pm at Grace Church, 3970 Cleveland Massillon Rd., Norton, OH 44203 with Pastor Dan Gregory, officiating. Levi requested no flowers to be sent, but would love if you would instead bless the people who impacted him so deeply: Hametown Christian Academy, 4774 S Hametown Rd., Norton, OH 44203, Fearless Fighters Foundation, Inc., 3900 Darrow Rd. #1686, Stow, OH 44224, or Wishes Can Happen, PO Box 9428, Canton, Ohio 44711.
