Apple Creek – James D. “Jim” Osburn, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2024.
Born on September 6, 1930 in Wayne, WV to the late Timothy and Olivia M. (Blake) Osburn, he was a resident of Apple Creek since 1998, previously of Doylestown. Jim retired from the P.P.G. Co. in Barberton and then was a custodian for the Chippewa Local Schools for a number of years. A member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, he enjoyed traveling with his wife Carol and visiting with their families.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy; second wife, Carol A.; sons, James and Daniel; infant son, Dennis; step daughter, Kimberly Morrell; daughter-in-law, Debra Osburn; granddaughter, Lisa Osburn; son-in-law, Robert Anderson; sisters, Nola Shonk, Mary (Billy) Roberts, Isa (Allen) Weber, Janice Waller; brothers, Clyde Osburn, John Osburn, he is survived by his children, Richard Osburn of Madison, TN, Gerald (Karen) Osburn of Orrville, Ann Marie Anderson and Susan (Dawayne) Seeden all of Barberton; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law, Nancy Osburn; brother-in-law, Bob Shonk; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
